According to the Universal law of Gender, everything in creation contains both feminine and masculine energy, and naturally, humans are no exception. Humans are electromagnetic beings, and gender aside, we all have both feminine and masculine energy flowing through our bodies at every second. Like magnets have two polarities, we also have positive – outward flowing current, and negative – inward flowing energy. The positive being the masculine, more active, manifesting energy, and the negative being the feminine, more passive, receptive, creative energy. And today I'm going to talk about the feminine energy, how it shows up and how to heal and cherish this divine energy. Because that is the ultimate goal in life, the Great Work, or the „Magnum Opus”: to balance out the inner Yin (feminine) and Yang (masculine) energies, while integrating our conscious with the subconscious. That is the process of individuation, the awakening of the self.
So let's talk about our inner feminine
The right side of the brain is traditionally associated with being in charge of the left side of the body. That means that the right side of our minds – the creative, intuitive, emotionally intelligent side, what we attribute as feminine traits – manifests on the left side of the body. So the Yin energy is the negative polarity, inward flowing – you can just open your left palm and imagine energy flowing right into your body through a circle in the middle of your palm. (Our ancestors, shamans, healers all used their palms for their rituals, and the left palm was even used for communicating with the spirits, it being the receptive side.) This negative polarity, this inward flowing energy shows that the feminine energy is highly magnetic, receptive, without it needing any force or any action.
So, our inner feminine is highly creative, it being connected to the right side of the brain, emotionally intelligent, artistic, imaginative, while also being passive, introverted and introspective, receptive and accepting. This is your soft side, the one that doesn't push you, that wants you to just take it all in, to just be, to just be creative and flow like water, to just receive and accept whatever life gives you. The side of you that wants you to rest when your body is tired, because it's emotionally intelligent enough to tell you „You deserve this”. The side of you that knows that sometimes it's better to just trust in divine timing, than to force the outcome. This is the energy that flows through you when your creative ideas pop up. The side of you that accepts love and expands it – creates a beautiful home, plants a garden that blooms over time. That is the real divine feminine energy: just like in nature, it flows, grows and expands.
But most of us come here with lifetimes' worth of generational traumas, wounds, karmic cycles, and yes, that throws us out of balance, both feminine and masculine energies being highly sensitive and perceptive of blockages. If one is more wounded than the other, that imbalance can manifest in toxic relationship cycles, negative patterns, self-destructive behaviours and habits, illnesses, etc. So what does an out-of-balance, wounded feminine look like?
Lack of self-worth: the biggest, deepest wound the feminine can have. Everything else stems from this. They become:
Over-imaginative: imagining outcomes and scenarios, because they don't want to accept reality – most often they just don't think they deserve it
Overgiving: want to 'earn' love, affection, people by overcompensating (giving their bodies, money, affection, empathy, etc.)
People-pleaser: have a hard time saying no, don't have high standards or boundaries – sometimes they don't even set boundaries, they just accept anything, thinking it's better than nothing
Aggressive: when people overstep their weak boundaries, they don't know how to handle it with grace, or are just aggressive in general, being mistrustful towards everyone
Clingy and needy: they are most often highly insecure and co-dependent
Overly critical: of their work, or themselves, or the people around them
Controlling and manipulative: lack of faith and trust in themselves, and/or the divine
-
- Impatient: don't want to wait for the „right time”
- Want to control the outcome of situations, relationships, etc.
- Constantly chase answers and people as well
- Wanting and needy: instead of letting things come to them, they go after what they desire (masculine energy)
It can manifest as a person who is: shy, overly naive, passive, overly emotional, self-sacrificial, self-abandoning, or the opposite: manipulative, toxic, passive-aggressive, chasing, attention seeking, desperate, overly stubborn. They most often have a very deep shame/guilt wound, where their lack of self-worth comes from as well, but it really depends on the wounds and traumas the person carries.
So if someone wants to get more in touch with their inner feminine (and masculine), and embrace its lifeforce, it does take some serious shadow-work. Getting to know yourself and digging into those wounds really deep: where they come from, when it started, how it manifests in our everyday lives, etc. It takes time and patience, and most of all, lots of self-love. Because nobody is perfect, we all have some of these wounds, but all it takes is facing them, accepting them, and not letting these wounds dictate how we live our lives, not letting them control us. That is the road to the divine feminine. And what does a divine feminine look like?
- Knows her self-worth, knows what she deserves, and doesn't accept any less than that
- Not afraid to disappoint people, because she has nothing to prove
- Doesn't need outside validation, because she knows her worth
- Accepting and loving, empathetic and understanding
- Sets clear boundaries – and doesn't budge
- Creative – not afraid of self-expression and lets herself be fully seen, without shame
- Intuitive and trusting – in herself, the divine, the timing, the outcomes, every aspect of life
Just overall: trusting. If you accept that your ego is not in control of your life, but it's the divine – God, the Universe, Source is the one in power, then from then on, you are on the right path. This is all it takes: trusting that everything that is meant for you, will arrive in divine timing. You don't need to chase, or control, or force anything. That is true divine feminine power: just being, and letting things be. Being in the present and enjoying every moment, accepting whatever we have and whatever is coming. Sometimes we do need to take actions, but sometimes, we need to just stop and be. And let ourselves rest, knowing it's coming, it's getting done, and we don't need to lift a finger. How cool is that?
