Soul Contracts – Soulmates

Just to recall: what we call soul contracts are the connections you encounter and make as a human; I'm talking about the significant ones, who leave a mark in you. A soul contract is an agreement between two souls to reunite: to meet in this lifetime and teach each other something. These meetings are not fleeting, and not coincidental. These souls come into your life for a reason. And that reason is your task to figure out. All soul contracts have the same purpose: the mission is your soul-evolution and, in some cases, awakening.

So let's talk about soulmates.

The second most common soul contract someone can encounter. Everybody has heard about soulmates, and for good reason – everyone wants their romantic partner to be their soulmate. These are the souls who enter your life and bring along the comfort, affection, support, and peace most people crave. While they are most known for being romantic partners, soulmates can be platonic too: family members, friends, pets, people you encounter and just click with from the beginning.

Soulmates have been connected to each other for lifetimes. Certain souls who come under the same soul family – or soul tribe – agree to meet and fulfil their purpose and role in the connection. This connection is not measured by relativity, by blood, but by frequency. People from the same soul-tribe vibrate on a very similar frequency, that's why it can feel like instant recognition, like no time passed between your last conversation. You share a frequency that is of the same divine blueprint, same origin. Energetically you never separated – it is the illusion of the 3D material world, the matrix that we live in. The connection doesn't fade, because it can't; the bond you share is eternal.

So what is the purpose of a soulmate connection?

They enter your life to support your growth and healing, or whatever reason your soul decided to reincarnate in this lifetime. You agree to meet, because there is some work to do. Soul-work, which is always evolutionary. It is always a two-way street, of course, because you are of the same soul-tribe, your mutual healing supports not just you, individually, but your whole soul-family. Your clearing of generations' worth of trauma and karma affects not just your close circle, but every soul in your tribe – and humanity as well; the whole collective. The work depends on how much karma you have accumulated from previous lifetimes. In most cases, you meet to support, teach, heal each other, learn lessons about life, love, friendship, limitations, desires, just overall helping you become your higher self (your highest "best" version). And while most often the connection itself is easy, effortless, and uncomplicated, sometimes it can be triggering, and on some occasions meeting a soulmate can initiate a whole spiritual awakening. It depends on the agreement between the souls.

The connection is instant, you feel an immediate, deep sense of closeness and familiarity with them once you come into physical contact. It feels as if you have known them for lifetimes, because you did. Having a conversation with them feels easy, effortless, it feels like you are on the same wavelength, because energetically you are. You feel like you can share intimate details about yourself, your fears, your secrets, without judgment, because it feels safe in their presence.

And like with most soul contracts, the purpose is not necessarily romantic love, or lifelong partnership, although soulmates are the most likely who will "stay till the very end." Once two soulmates start a romantic partnership and agree to come into union, that connection normally lasts – depending on circumstances, of course. It might not be smooth sailing, but unlike with karmic relationships, the connection isn't toxic and deeply triggering. That is why, if two soulmates separate, but meet again after a long period of time, the connection will pick up where it left off, and will feel just as earnest and fond as it did before.

Time is an illusion that doesn't exist when it comes to soul connections. The bond is energetic, hence it will remain as it always has been, from the moment of creation. And unlike popular belief, soulmates are not a rarity at all: everybody has more than one soulmate, but it really depends on the agreement,t whether they meet in this lifetime, or the next one. So the next time you meet someone and it feels like you’ve known them for ever, that feeling is not by accident. You probably did. Now you can continue from where your story left off.
